Sanem Su Avcı (Izmir, 1989) is a Turkish artist, historian and social entrepreneur. She researches through conventional and unconventional methods and she writes, sings, narrates or builds the share her findings.

After completing her BA in Political Science and International Relations in Boğaziçi University, she moved to Ankara in 2012 to pursue a career in parliamentary politics, and a graduate course in political and public affairs in the School of Public Administration in Ankara University.

In 2018, judging her path blocked, she moved to Athens where she founded the vegan cooperative eatery Magic Kitchen. In Athens and in Ankara, she worked as a fixer, interpreter, TV translator and street performer. She continues to work as a fortuneteller and divination trainer.

Since 2022 she is doing a PhD in History and Political Science in the University of Panteion on the “Cultural and intellectual making of the Cold War in Turkey and Greece, 1944-1968”.

Sanem currently works on building the HR: Historical Revelations or Human Resources, a series of lecture-performances that address questions of history and future through music and narration.
